Tjkbeluga 5th Gear February 6, 2009 Share February 6, 2009 Hi Guys, Networking stuff is still fairly new to me and I'm already working in network server development company for over a year. So far my job could still make do with my limited networking knowledge. We do Microsoft solutions. Any recommendation what course I can take to beef up my knowledge? Davidcks 1st Gear February 6, 2009 Share February 6, 2009 There are tonnes and tonnes of stuff you can do bro. You can go into aeronautic engineering, pest control, Fire & Workplace safety, accountancy, commercial photography.... etc etc. I name all these because I have friends and relatives in these line, and they are doing okay. Or else, do your own business also not bad. Set up a food stall or something, stuff like that. No matter how bad times are, there's always a way out. Ya bro, you are right in a way. I guess it need guts and $$$ to do it at a time like this.
Drive_carcar Clutched February 6, 2009 Share February 6, 2009 I believe you are doing quite well becos u r on the consultancy/managerial level. Being in the technical area of IT is really a dead-end job. Sad to say, no matter how well one is doing, no one is immuned to the bad economic climate, at least not in the IT industry. If I have to find another job, I doubt anybody else is willing to offer me anywhere near my last drawn pay. If I have to go, I'll probably switch line to something morbid, like funeral related service. Simply because I have a morbid fancination with dead bodies... It is in bad times like this, that real opportunities arises. My take is, we can't change the economy. There's nothing we can do to make things better. But we can change our own attitudes. ↡ Advertisement
