Daniu85 Clutched February 3, 2009 Share February 3, 2009 Hi everyone i'm a relatively new driver.. just now at ard 7.20pm i turned left into the filter lane from clementi road to commonwealth avenue west into a bus lane and i realised that i could not filter into the outer lane due to the traffic jam. Bus lane restriction is until 8pm so i could not stay in the lane. i was slowing down, signalling right and trying to cut into 1 of the cars at my right to get out of the bus lane. Then i realised that there was a bus right behind me also slowing down as a result. Eventually i got out of the bus lane at ard 5 secs later but i'm afraid that it might be too late. I'm worried that i might be snapped by the camera in the bus. How high are the chances of me getting snapped ah? If i'm snapped, how long does it take for me to know ah? Will there be a flash if a bus snaps some1? ↡ Advertisement
Passion 5th Gear February 3, 2009 Share February 3, 2009 First and foremost, there isn't camera on bus.Unless the very old model where they purposely install to capture violators.Second,if you're not in bus lane, you should be fine.the picture can't even capture you in bus lane,so how they going to fine you?obstructing bus?If you signalling to filter out,you would be fine.So don't worry yea? Will_I_Am 2nd Gear February 3, 2009 Share February 3, 2009 (edited) Correction. There are indeed camera installed on some these buses to catch bus lane violators. Not only that, there are street cameras in some places for this purpose too. Zenithpool 2nd Gear February 4, 2009 Share February 4, 2009 I think should be ok. unless its a Cisco standing at roadside and holding a camera. But again, u are making effort to go out of the bus lane. unless they rahter you stop before the start of the bus lane, and wait for a opening to switch lane. Toapayohkid 1st Gear February 4, 2009 Share February 4, 2009 (edited) see luck one. if kanna snap picture, appeal lor. for me important thing is to always signal left or right when i'm on bus lane so that if picture taken, my appeal letter would state that i am exiting the bus lane but cannot for various reasons. Quirky_ster Clutched February 6, 2009 Share February 6, 2009 Even if you got a letter. Copy and paste your original postings and gave it to the Police Officer during interview for them to hear your case. They can differentiate genuine case and story makers. Take it easy...
