C4a0s Neutral Newbie February 28, 2009 Share February 28, 2009 i intend to do minor mods to my exhaust system but need some help before i proceed, iam driving a manual car. 1.if i install sideplant before my catylic converter,is there a need to decat? 2.if the sideplant is in closed mode with stock catylic converters, will it still sound like stock or slightly louder or much louder? 3.will decat be a better choice over sideplant? your help is greatly appreciated. erm..what car are u driving? sideplant or powervalve...is super illegal and noticeable. decat is easier but cat or not... the drop is not THAT significant. how much power u want or looking for? If really want, better to customise every part, from header, mid and tail pipe, then can get better result that you want.

Caustic Neutral Newbie December 31, 2009 Share December 31, 2009 hi,i driving a auto vehicle.can anyone advise wat kind of modification of exhaust 4 faster pickup?tks
Nmnhnlm Clutched December 31, 2009 Share December 31, 2009 Hmm.... You can try changing your muffler or "operate" it to improve flow. Then go for a reflash or piggyback. My friend owns a Impreza 1.5L Auto. After he change his muffler to a WRX one and Unichip, its much more responsive.

DMC Neutral Newbie January 1, 2010 Share January 1, 2010 hi,i driving a auto vehicle.can anyone advise wat kind of modification of exhaust 4 faster pickup?tks Bro, you need understand that by modding exhaust alone will not give you faster pick up. Just some other suggestions that may help : 1. change to light weight rims (or downsized if your rim is 16" above and car is not more than 1.6cc) 2. keep all unnecesary stuffs at home rather keeping in your car resulting more weight 3. reflash or piggy back (as some shared) 4. Change to a better flowing air fliter (do not change to open pod unless you have no. 3 to complement it) 5. adequate tyre pressure 6. clean your car exterior regularly 7. Change to carbon fibre parts / do not add on unnecessary bodykits unless it is light weight 8. May want to install those devices controlling your throttle valve opening ie pivot 3 drive 9. Lose some weight if you are..erm... jus joking.. ↡ Advertisement
