Elfenstar 3rd Gear February 10, 2009 Share February 10, 2009 (edited) You are just arguing to prove your point Why i say that? Without a accelerometer you cannot check leveling - nothing to do with software. My point: iphone is another option why limit yourself period. Your point: Other's opinion (especially iphone users) "su@ks". Have fun with your phone. Of course I'm arguing, the iphone is just a phone with fad features not a smartphone as it still cannot do what i want it to do. You do realise that the iphone is not the only phone with an accelerometer right? So I'm telling you that WinMo, Symbian, and Blackberry phones which come with accelerometers have software for the same function (as a rebuttal to your claim). Besides I started this because of comments such as: iphone or nothing...in my opinion totally agreed......in our opinion. and even YOUR statement that ... and you can do wonders that other phone cannot come close. Which I have proven otherwise. This seems to annoy you iphone fanboys to no end that I can prove quantitavely that the iphone is more hype than anything else. Mind you the TS also did explicitly state that he DOES NOT want an iphone, and I also did say to Guyver ... Btw, for your needs, i think the iphone is perfect (since u said you didn't need a smartphone, but you needed their unlimited contact list)... , which also means I am not anti-iphone as you claim me to be. I simply based my arguments on facts (even if sometimes backdated as loneranger had to updated me) when you fanboys base it on what you think. KapitanE 1st Gear February 10, 2009 Share February 10, 2009 you selling your i780? I am thinking whether to sell or keep it as a spare.... but hell, I have three spare phones in my collection.... Maybe I buy an ipHONE as a spare....
Novicej Neutral Newbie February 10, 2009 Share February 10, 2009 My statement is derived from my experience. I don't get to enjoy the features you mentioned when i used WM. I had difficulties even to find those software you mentioned. It doesn't come with an accelerometer. The touch is not sensitive unless a stylus. Everytime I answer a call i risk pressing the screen - it doesn't hid the buttons. I sold my htc touchcruise 3 months into it. (depreciates like nobody's business) I just don't want others to fall into the same frustrations as I did and I am now a happy iphone user and I believe you are a happy symbian user. Gnojki is the happy symbian user I'm the happy winmo user LOL. As I also said earlier, for WinMo you cannot base your experience on one phone, as even within one manufacturer, there are differeing user experiences across models. I'm lucky as i get to play with a lot of phones! Compare something similar in specs or price for a fair analysis not compare with a lower end model (for e.g. the touch diamond also has the same problem as the iphone3G. It cannot lay flat on its back). The touch HD and omnia were launched as direct competitors to the iphone3G. Btw I have no idea what you're talking about R.E. Novicej Neutral Newbie February 10, 2009 Share February 10, 2009 I tend to think it was a smart innovation by not designing flat either to protect the camera or dirt. For iphone, when you received a call, there is a sensor that disables the touchscreen (the whole thing black out). And because of that you won't accidentally press anything through the touchscreen. But the htc touchcruise don't. So sometimes your face touch the box to close the task on the top right corner, it ends the call. I literally have to tilt the phone when i talk on the phone. The only thing for touchcruise WM is multi-task (launch many apps at one time), the free mapking. iphone has no offline maps so you literally have to pay through gprs as you navigate. My Touch HD has that, it blank the screen when I answer a call..... Likewise for the Omnia, it automatically lock at soft key when you answer a call.... But some people find that a chore.... Novicej Neutral Newbie February 10, 2009 Share February 10, 2009 I have heard many good review about the htc HD. The graphic is really good. Its has one of the fastest processor. But least of a reason why I am still sticking to the iphone - the multi touch sensors. For me, if touch sensors are the features of a touch phone, then it make sense to select one that is really good. If it is not as good like my previous htc touch cruise, how do you operate efficiently with the phone? In the end have to use the stylus. Why do you keep so many phone BTW?
