How fast is a VW Touareg?

I understand that diesel cars don't do high revs.... but its redline is at 4.2K only....

hmm.... I wonder what kinda flow is being experienced. Then again, its a large displacement engine at 5l.... probably uses a huge ass snail to get that high torque

yeah thats right. Diesel engines use high compression to ignite the fuel, no spark plugs. Typically the stroke is also longer in diesel engines making it not able to rev to high rpms.

Diesel Touareg works its charm

"We drive the car in Malaysia because we want to see if the car will take to lower-quality fuel. We drive across with less than one-quarter tank of fuel (diesel cars are not subject to the three-quarter-tank rule), and fill up at the first station after the Second Link."

Hypersonic

But the next paragraph says that malaysia diesel are not as good as singapore. A lot of sulphur. Might not be suitable for Euro 4 engine in the long run.

If not for this issue, I would have bought 1...................................like real! [:p]

i would say so... it's a high torque, low bhp engine. acceleration slows down dramatically after the 100km/h mark.

why do you think cabs can sprint so fast? take them down the highway and they lose steam after 120km/h [laugh]

Not entirely right... sure, their RPM range might be small, but we had a friendly sprint with a skoda superb. At 110-120kmh he was right on our tail.... all the way till around 200kmh he was still on our tail. Only from 200kmh onwards did he start to lag behind... but at 220+kmh we could still see his headlights.

If what you said is true, doing 200km/h on local road and you call it a friendly sprint!! You better stop driving before endanger others road user. [rifle]

Any speed can endanger road users. Even if u keep to the speed limit but drive like an idiot, you can still endanger other users.

I don't think there's even 10% of people who have never sped on our roads. Anything above the speed limit is speeding, don't come and tell me it's only 120kmh.
