Touch Up Paint or Pen for Rims

Hi, I've got kerb rash on 3 of my 4 rims. It's not major, and nothing a bit of touchup paint/pen cannot do.

The snag is that my rims are gold in color, so there are 2 cause of concerns:

1) Finding the correct color

2) Can the touchup withstand the elements (don't want fading after a couple of weeks of rain/wash/sunshine)?

Any suggestions?

Forget it lah. If touch up by yourself it will look ugly. Now no more pros outside do touch for rims anymore. Just leave it and look rugged. [laugh]

I do know where to get touch up paint for the car body. You can try Homefix DIY at Great World City. The pens are located right at the entrance near the cashier counter.

Ah, yes, HomeFix. Why didn't I think of it? It's not paint per se, but more like permanent markers, I think. I'm not sure if it last, but worth considering.

I think the rims looks more rugged untainted by rash. Now it just makes me look like a lousy driver.

OT abit...

is there such thing as touch up paint in a spray can?

Actually yes. You spray the paint onto a brush, then touch up the spot using the brush. I did that to my sideskirt once upon a time. Rims are a different kettle.....

try amk ind point. i know one shop which repairs Rim damage.

I think the rash is not severe enough to warrant a repair. I just feel like covering up for the timebeing, so a semi permanent job, as opposed to a slipshod one, is desired.

Just buy the paint spray can of your desired color from any hardware shop.
