Hi Trusty,

Federal Express should be good but do check out the rates with some of them. Can consider TNT 2. They will guide u thru. DHL known to lose packages as my company used to use their services. Then u decide [thumbsup]

Just instruct dbschenker to do the clearing for you and transport the goods to your place. You will have to pay inward decalaration doumentation fee, GST handling fee ( usually s$10 for making GST payment on buyer's behalf) GST and local transporation ( about s$35.00 for small parcel )

PS for future overseas orders, always ask for shipping on dooor to door basis ( that means from seller warehouse to yr place) . This arrnage will save you all the headaches

using the value converted to our currency? eg. 1000usd converted= 1500 x 7% ?

Yes, GST is charged on declared value of goods in SGD. Shipping charges are not charged wif GST.

That was the last time I paid the Speedpost guy who delivered a S$500+ item to me from Japan.
