this car is above the lancer, but still nowhere near EVO standard.

Was reported in the papers last weekend. If I remember correctly, estimated launch date is Sept '09.

Some folks say they rather get the 100K stripped down version of EVO X...

Anyway this car is already launched overseas, you can google around. Sure got results...

yes - the cheaper, stripped down EVO X (GSR?) is definitely much more value-for-power

not many ppl will go for it... maybe someone who is: 1) Mit lover 2) drives auto mostly 3) doesn't like the EX's CVT/likes the SST 4) doesn't want to pay the high insurance for EVO or WRX

above EVO X is EVO X FQ-400 --> 403bhp, 0-100 in 3.8sec (HOT!)

nice. from the review seems like using same engine except using smaller single scroll turbo. Means u can buy this for 100k, and then upgrade the turbo and ecu? woot! i smell cheap mod EVO Xs!

The review makes it sound like a detuned Evo X engine with some Evo 9 hardware in a Evo X body.

Hopefully its priced near to WRX and below STi. haha
