As expected, my car insurance renewal premium up by 20% ! [bounce1]

So I have started to shop around. I have discover that most insurer do not cover the moon roof as part of windscreen coverage. If want, additional 5% premium. [furious]

My ody is 2 years old and am 45 with 50+5% this year. the premium goes from $825 to $1030 thru no fault of mine! [shakehead]

Anyone has renew his/her insurance recently? Which Insurer at what premium?

Should we cover the moon-roof as well? [confused]

Hi,

The premium of $1,030 is pretty reasonable for your profile in the current market now.

I suppose this current plan allow you to go back to agent?

Yes, it does. It seems most of the insurers does not cover moon-roof or sun-roof.

I suppose those with complete glass top will be slapped with high premium!

Anyway I managed to find one insurer to match close to my last year premium. It need a lot of patience to check around!

Have you tried car insurance brokers like Auto Solution Consultancy? I believe there are many firms around offering competitive quotes from various insurers. Have received a few flyers in HDB carparks. I have not used their services yet, but my colleague is a strong believer, who renewed all his car insurances through this company.

I've renewed my insurance last week. Last year was $825 and this year is $864 from another insurer. Not too bad considering current market condition. [drivingcar]

BTW I did not cover the moon-roof as the loading is 10%!!! [sweatdrop]

If we spend some time checking around, we still can get good premium. [thumbsup]
