Turbocharged

i know from brochures the plus emergency number for breakdowns is 1800 88 0000.

assuming calling from a sg line, it would be +60 1800.... however i have no idea if this works (calling +60 followed by 1800...)

or drag your car to a phone booth which is every 2km....

a bit off topic but what's up with this new format in the forum? do i have to click every link to see what has been posted? if so, then i'm out of this forum... too inconvenient [thumbsdown][thumbsdown] [thumbsdown]

Ask your regular workshop whether they have any dealings with Malaysian workshops..... if they have, pass you their contacts so that you can call for assistance in any car breakdown situations in Malaysia.

My IL car got a puncture when on the way back from KL in NSH...

When we were trying to change the tyre at road shoulder..the NSH tow crew came to help us, they even help us to bring the tyre to nearest tyre shop & can recommend us which shop to go..price is comparable or cheaper than Sg & brought us back to our car..& even changed for us.

For their effort..we gave them RM60 as tip.

Yes, I have know them to be quite helpful and they don't charge extra. Like the cost of having them around is already factor in in the toll. For those who still take the tickets from them when using the NSHW, their call number is at the back of the ticket.

Just a note, be careful with those suddenly appear kind of tow-truck. Some ain't from NSHW and would chop you big time by getting you back to their shop.

For my case, their tow truck got PLUS logo I think..then the 2 guys were wearing uniform..look like police uniform..then wear the reflective vest...

Seriusly if breakdown happen on NSH or trunk road...esp at nite or wat, its very stressful esp got kids or old folks..i tink most people dun mind gettin chopped in exchange for immediate help.
