Boyboy 1st Gear July 10, 2009 Share July 10, 2009 Dear all, I just chat with another friend in MCF and he told me that Windows 7 doesn't take up as much resources as Windows XP or Windows Vista. Anybody can confirm this? Anybody here using the RC version already? Please post feedback. Thanks. i 2nd comfy, don't waste time on beta, unless u are a geek having said that, i feel that this windows version looks promising. and i'm a mac user. i'd definitely try it out if i were upgrading from the previous versions of windows. Nolicense Turbocharged July 13, 2009 Share July 13, 2009 Ok .... after I install the Windows 7 Ultimate ..... the touchpad got problem. After searching .... found this that works but I don't know why but I just can't find a way to configure it. http://www.zdnetasia.com/downloads/pc/swin...9564396s,00.htm For touch pad driver issues, or any driver issues, if the manufacturer does not have a driver for Win7 yet, try MS default driver. If that doesn't work, which I think you have found from zdnetasia as an alternative, but still cannot configure, can you still use your old driver? or Vista driver? I assume you already tried the driver's from the laptop manufacturer's support site right?
Lotz Neutral Newbie July 13, 2009 Share July 13, 2009 I installed Windows 7 yesterday without hiccups on my Asus A8N mother board. All drivers are in placed and running smoothly. I installed the free OFFICE APPLICATIONS from "http://www.openoffice.org" compatible or equivalent to Microsoft Office and even with advance features. The Words, Excel, Powerpoint, Draw & etc are working perfectly.
Darth_mel 1st Gear July 13, 2009 Share July 13, 2009 For those who want to free up more ram resource, you can disable the Superfetch service. I got more ram back with negligible speed penalty.

So can I say that it is 100% compatible now?
