I'm on the RC build 7100.

yup it runs as fast as XP even with all the visuals turned on, no crashes so far, 1st boot with all drivers in already.

looks like microsoft may have done something right.

How long did you take to install?

Did you encounter any programs that you can't get it running on it?

Turbocharged

do note that this is beta so will shut down every 2 hours after july 2010 i think.

i think installation should be about the same as XP since resource wise is not as heavy as Vista

i have not used win7, so am not in a position to comment.

Yes .... I am on Windows 7 now.

Just finished installing it.

So far it really seems as fast as XP and this notebook which I installed on only got 2GB RAM (only 1.5GB usable) and a 1.6Ghz Intel CPU.

Not sure .... yes the RAM is 2GB but less off shared video RAM .... about 1.5GB left.

Turbocharged

Congrats. now when they release the upgrade version, you just need to key in the code so it won't shut down after that.

Yah .... I am surprised that it could run pretty decently on a low spec notebook. [thumbsup]
