Are DIY Daytime Running Lights/LED clusters legal?

speaking of DRL.. the new merc series has an overkill of DRL, looks them cheapo

 

Audi still carries DRL the best, followed by porsche. everyone else is just wannabe

not all LEDs are the same...some aftermarket DRL are SUPER BRIGHT!!!!!!and angled wrongly...... at night they only need the DRL enough liao!!!!

Using headlights in daytime serves the same function but it uses more fuel compared to actual DRLs. However, it is troublesome to switch them on each time we start the engine, and to switch it off back.

 

Since my car does not have DRLs, I make it a point to switch on the headlights whenever it is raining or even drizzling. I hate to be invisible to lorries with dirty windows/mirrors.

 

The problem with DRLs is they make cars without DRLs invisible... It's not so bad now because most cars don't have it.
