Neutral Newbie

Bought several pieces from sim lim square at $20+ that run on 2 x AAA. On average can last a year, heavy usage. Best I tried is 3M laser pointer that comes with wireless mouse that cost $80+, still going strong after about 7 years, range of 80m-100m.

Hi guys, looking to buy good laser pointers that use regular AAA or AA batteries. Tried my luck with those lousy cheap ones from those neighbourhood dollar shops, but didnt last more than a few weeks.

I'm looking for something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Brand-new-Green-Bea...93%3A1|294%3A50

Anyone with recommendations? Looking to buy maybe one red and a few green ones. Red one's for our cats, and green ones for variety. :)

Thanks so much in advance!

Edit: Sorry about the typo in the topic title. :p

Hi Bro,

Check out http://www.we-light-this.com . I have personally purchased both green and red 5mw, green has better throw and brightness. And yes, you can see its beam clearly. Just click on catalogue and you may find other interesting stuff as well. Free shipping as well. ^_^

Digging up this 2 years old thread, as I am looking for a a better quality unit too. Used quite a few <S$10 (red laser) unit and it hardly last any longer than 1 year. Seems that there are lesser seller in the net now advertising for Green Laser, as compare to say a year or 2 ago.

BTW, to those that own green laser pointer, may I know if the difference in power rating (say between 5mW & 30mW) is significant enough for used in normal night lighted condition? Thanks.
