It depends. If you already have the harness for your car, then don't need to cut wires and it will be much easier to install. My friend install one in his Impreza and it cost him around 1K including the Unichip.

Only need to retune if your change air intake system or exhaust mod. To install unichip make sure every setup is done before you tune.

Came across some threads in BMW sg forum regarding this tuning co, the reviews doesn't seem favorable. Perhaps you could pop over there and see for yourself?

So far, i would say we do not have a good tuner for unichip here. My friends installed, city driving is ok.

Problem comes when running engine at full potential. The power band and torque band is all wrong not smooth at all and it drops too sudden.

Had an mr2 installed with e-managed tuned by some guy, the drive is awesomely smooth with a nice looking power band way better than unichip tuner.

Some of you here may know whom i am talking about.

Cheers.

Neutral Newbie

hi, sorry to ot on this tread cos i can't start a new post, have anyone had your car tune by this tuning co. before ?http://www.obd-tuning.com.sg/ call them to enquire about my TC car and they claim that can be done even with no boost control install.

I tried OBD-Tuning on my BMW 3 series, did not work. No noticeable improvement. The name OBD-Tuning is a bit of a misnomer. They don't do any custom tuning, just load a standard off-the-shelf ECU map for your car model. Everything is done in less than 30 minutes with no dyno or road tune, just software load to your stationary car. Mine was done in the car park. If you want to try, make sure you get a 7-day money back guarantee if not satisfied in writing. Then if you do not see any improvement after the software load, ask for your money back within the 7 days.
