Kxbc Turbocharged August 27, 2009 Share August 27, 2009 Seems like this cafe cartel ribs is drawing really opposite responses, perhaps it all boils down to who is the cook that day. It would be fun if more people of this forum is to eat there and post your opinion here. It is cheap and provide a good dinner outing with your date. This is really another case of one person's meat is another person' s poison. If not all the men will zoom in on only one zhar bor then all hell break loose. Diff folks diff strokes. ↡ Advertisement

Toyo 1st Gear August 27, 2009 Share August 27, 2009 (edited) BTW, how's the pasta at Pizza Hut? I had being seeing advertisement about their Taste & Tell challenge. Price starts fr $5.90 which is quite competitive Also the V8 cafe @ bugis junction? Price looks rather affordable Edited August 27, 2009 by Toyo

Modesto has some good pizza choices too and last month, I paid for 1 pizza and got 2. They had promotion. Woohoo! Edit: Read too fast and read wrongly. For pasta, never try Pizza Hut pasta before. There are many other places which serve pretty ok pasta. Bro Porker recommended the Forkxxxx at Fraser Suite. I went to their Dempsey branch. Good pasta but damn expensive. When I save up enough, I'll go again. Edited August 27, 2009 by Kxbc

Blueray Hypersonic August 27, 2009 Share August 27, 2009 for those who are into pizzas I would recommend Sarpinos, think they still have the 1 for 1 for certain pizzas. Pizza is not too thick and the amount of toppings on top is just nice. their lasagne and wings are nice too, convenient for small house gatherings. Blueray Hypersonic August 27, 2009 Share August 27, 2009 Prego is nice but too ex to eat too often, and that place got ERP everywhere. so when I feel like my carbonara I'll usually got to Pasta al Fresca or Spagheddies. Coffee at these places are alright too. tried the carbonara at Pizza Hut last week, wah piang, think less than 8 pieces of bacon, after my kid eat a few pieces all I had left was spaghetti ... machiam very expensive mee pok tah ... Babyt 4th Gear August 27, 2009 Share August 27, 2009 i dunno how pizza hut makes their pasta but i assumed places like these normally use canned pasta sauce. i know they use campbell soups last time coz my sis used to worked there as a part timer. i worked at ponderosa in my teens and their soups were home-made, not using concentrated cream soup. For soup gotta try the soup spoon. One pkt of clam chowder cost $8 similar in a can from campbell cost $3ish Edited August 27, 2009 by Toyo

Silver_blade Turbocharged August 27, 2009 Share August 27, 2009 Back to Botak Jones vs Aston. I find their food quality to be almost on par....but Botak Jones' service is way better...almost always with a smile and didn't looks like they are stressed or in a hurry. I usually go to the Aston (specialties and prime) at Katong/Joo Ciat and Botak Jones at Depot Rd.
