Hi guys,

Need your help here.

My car won't start, i turn car key to start the engine but nothing came out of it.

The whole car has no electricity. Hazard lights wont on too.

Side note: My door lock alarm has not been working for a few days prior to this, i have to manually lock the doors using the car key.

Wat could be the problem here? Can top up battery water works?

All my alerts lights did not light up the last time i drove which was on monday.

Please advise or anyone has any encounter like this.

THank you very much!!

Your battery could be totally dry, and/or one of the terminals has come off, and/or you blew a major fuse.

so should i try to add battery water first and see if it works first?

then if it doesn't, mean i have to call servicing vechicle come? if i am still contracting under tan chong for servicing, will it be expensive to call them? or it will be cheaper if i just call any workshop?

Try checking the connections first. See if any are loose or have come off. If the battery is dead, topping up the fluid doesn't do anything. You need to charge it. Maybe try jump starting as well.

Hi, I dun think adding battery water will help. Anyway you can try.

Try to measure the voltage of the battery with a multimeter. should be more than 10.5v to start the car.

If not, can ask help from your friend or neighbour to jump start you car with starter cable and his car. But be careful and not to short the terminal.

Most likely your battery 'Kee Chia' liao aka EOL liao ... [nod]

Topping up battery water on a fully dead battery is of no use ... [nod]

Try jump start with the help of another car [nod]

thank you to all the brothers here =) [grouphug]

Yes, its battery up lorry, "Kee chia", all dried up.

Asked a friend to jump-start for me, and change another battery.

Always rem to check ur car battery water, even if you just have ur servicing.

Note: there was no symthom of battery drying up for me. Everything is still working fine, until one day ur car can't start, and there is no electricity watsoever.

Turbocharged

Is your batt completely dry? If it is so, I am really surprised since you serviced it 3 months ago and it should have been topped up by the mechanic. UNLESS never screw back tight and the water all evaporated or splashed out? Your connections got white deposit? If got, means never screw tight enough.

Which Tan Chong workshop you went to? I want to avoid that place. So far, my servicing at Bt Timah is good. My one and only service at Toa Payoh outlet I feel is no good. Engine does not feel smooth like it usually does after servicing.
