District Court judge Toh Yung Cheong also convicted them for giving false information to the Commissoner of Charities. The pair will be sentenced on November 11. For offences under the Penal code and Charities Act, they could be fined and jailed. It's definitely necessary to send out a stern message else there will be more and more people who will turn our charity works into a circus! And we'll be the fools funding the circus! The sad thing is, those people in need of charity assistance will ultimately be the ones who suffer. Something needs to be done to revamp our charity works. We need people with integrity and who will not be corrupted by $. Maybe get someone reputable and rich to lead since he's already rich and has a reputation at stake?
