it's expensive though...saw some PI advertising this car already...

G'F' (Basic) at $108k

G (Premium) at $113k...who's gonna buy??

rear looks like the upcoming Sonata...UGLY!! Front looks like Altis leh...interior will still be cramp as usual...considering that the Camry is just nice for me...

hate the design though...engine having less power is not good for buyers...

I think its ok even if its from a PI. You don't have to worry much about the servicing as well as they will tie-up with

reputable workshops such as comfort del gro, khang's, etc...

Surprisingly the engine cc is smaller than the previous one...

Yeah, it is ok to buy from PI who is trustworthy. However, a bit doubtful about the tie-up workshop; would rather go to reputable workshops that have experience in Toyota cars.

Actually, the engince cc come in 2.5L (same as previous) and 3.5L (bigger than previous model's 3L).

Before the new model was announced, PI has advertised that kind of price tag for the old model about 3-5 months back. It could be due to the higher OMV since custom officer has been strict on OMV declaration.

Interesting.... what is a G (Premium) spec? I wonder how much a S package cost now...

The only downside on the new model (apart from the design) is higher price for a tuned down engine. For that kind of pricing, I would expect the bhp to be the same or higher spec. The fuel economy on paper is juz too difficult to achieve given the realistic traffic condition and driving behaviours. With the old model, 11km/L is already an achiever.

Changing the interior leather to something vibrant - I'm doing mine in Alfa Romeo red when I have the time - and some other knick knacks helps a lot :D

I quite like the quiet and understated interior of the "old" Mark X though I could do with more pockets/holders so contain my barang barang - it gets messy really fast!
