No time? Can always go youtube watch the documentaries! For those of you who are interested, please just look for username Zuke696. His channel is chock full of fantastic documentaries from the Science/History Channel and they're all about Space, Origins & Evolution! And they're all in neat playlists for easy browsing! Be sure to watch the following highly recommended programs:

1) The entire series of "The Universe"

2) The Six Billion Dollar Experiment

3) Most of our Universe is Missing

4) The entire series of "Hyperspace"

5) The entire series of "Cosmic Odyssey"

6) The entire series of "Evolution"

7) Journey of Man

8) Europa - The Ice Moon

9) Venus Unveiled

10) The entire series of "Animal Armageddon"

There are many many others as well. Like, Why Evolution is TRUE? And how any reasonably smart person cannot possibly believe the proponents of creation theory. [thumbsup]

Scientist believe that there is a particle that exists, but has not yet been found because it's simply too small. A type of membranous particle which gives mass to all these sub-atomic particles, that make up the atoms, that make up our Universe. In other words, the so-called God Particle. Or the Higgs, as others will have it. Herein lies the true purpose of the LHC!! [nod]

didn't the chinese ancients already tell us that everything is yin and yang? maybe they were on to something...

Regarding Big Bang theory

I remember reading somewhere that we are near the center of the expansion. Logic would dictate that those on the outer fringes would have millions if not billions of years to develop. We are cavemen to them.

Some say that if intelligent lifeforms do exists, they would have visited us by now. However mankind has only existed for a mere speck of time by universal standards. Chances are that they came, they saw nothing, and they left.

Others subscribe to the belief that they are already amongst us and there is a conspiracy to cover it up.

we are probably not very interesting to them then. just another bickering terrestial-bound lifeform. there could be billions of such life-form around. and billions of others already exploring their nearby planets. and billions of others already exploring their nearby galaxies. and we are still getting excited with our own moon.

As long as we have religion and all the bickerings that comes with it, we will never see beyond our nose.

Star Trek is the inspiration for our human race to aspire to.
