Hermitage 1st Gear December 2, 2009 Share December 2, 2009 Yes there are drawbacks, but can save quite alot of money lei...especially if you don't already have license! And since you already have to go through NS, why not take something useful away from it?
Weichien Clutched December 2, 2009 Share December 2, 2009 depends on which unit you're in. For mt line's you can easily clock the required miliage of 7k 3500 for class 3 and 3500 for class 4 to get a class 3/4 license which u can submit only the 22nd month of your service which they normally take around 2months to convert. The worst is battalion which you have hundreds of drivers in camp everyday doing nothing. It's like a dumping ground for posting from mono intakes. Which is located somewhere in the north. I was a driver during ns but i got my class 3 license outside myself. Life is good but better then alot of combat units in term of slackness. Went in with a 6 pack stomach but came out with a 18inch tummy. If you ORD at the age of 21 you can get class 3 and 4 together which worth quite a few k taking from school. You will get to experience and learn driving many different type of vehicle like the 5 ton 7 ton which is class 4 the Trailer class 4s or class 5 outside and the recca which is class 5. Normally drivers vocation are for lower educated soldiers. ite and below. So if you're holding a dip a level at most you can be a transport leader which is driver Sergent. pelase don't flame me.. I'm also a lowly educated soldier when in army.

Drumstick Clutched December 2, 2009 Share December 2, 2009 Depends on ur unit and how u look at life being driver in NS. I got my license from there. As long as you follow by the book and pray nothing happens then all is fine. During my time get $150 for every 3000km.. collected alot of it ... if not its a very pathetic pay. At the end of service more than 30k km.. but only fill up till 12k km to claim the license. That was years back...not sure about now... ↡ Advertisement
