Now gotta be careful of black bikes. But if they don't wear uniform, its very difficult to identify them from far. :o

Hope they are catching those hogging vehicles and heavy vehicles on lane 1.

Saw one 3-vehicle collision on PIE-Changi Airport direction in the afternoon about 230pm.

The last vehicle left a long brake skid mark....but I have not pity for the last vehicle.

It's a MB Vito Van...no reason to be in lane 1.

Yes it can travel very fast like many other similar vehicles.

Guess the van driver only after the accident then realise the van

cannot stop as fast as those vehicles in front of him.

Hope he learnt his lesson.

Nonetheless, thankfully no one seems injured.

the Vios between the van and the tuscon seemed to bear the most damage.

What is the different between the MB Vito and the 7 seaters Mercedes Maxi-cab?

With SH plate can chiong 100km/h on lane 1 with 7 adults. However, the same vehicle with same engine, same chassis, same brake, same suspension, same seat and same weight but with a PA plate (mini-bus) or G plate (van) can only go at 70km/h.

Commercial vehicle can handle speed above 70km/h without compromising on safety, I would dare say some model perfrom even better than a car....

There are many other passenger cars out there that share the same body as the commercial version, with the same engine, brake, suspension, max laden weight.

eg. Fiat Panorama (same chassis as Fiat Doblo) or the passenger version of Citroen Berlingo, Liteace, Extol...etc that are based on the van version and can be registered as S-plate, with passenger seats behind some more..

If you think a fully loaded van with 500kg of goods is dangerous, how about the car version with 7 adults that weight the same? Many of these vans are awarded Euro NCap of 3 to 4 stars and equipped with ABS, rear disc brake and air bags, so how can they be less safer than QQ with 0 stars?

====================

Well maybe soon TP wil allow those goods vans u mentioned to travel at the same speed as cars, BUT WITH 1 SLIGHT DIFFERENCE.

Every 6 months these vehicles wil have to go for an special inspection at the inspection centres to ensure they r in good road worthy condition & it will cost $200 each time.

Hahaha. Like that u still want?

wonder how fast how this bikes? if cannot catch a wrx or evo, then its a waste of public funds

on sg road, even a ferrari or lambo also not going anywhere lar.... the bike just have to be "fast" but does not need a rocket engine to catch up... [laugh]

If I am not wrong, that is a Honda VFR, not a 'Super' superbike category that need to chase supercars. Think is more for VIP escorts ...more cool looking.
