u need to "crack" it so that i can take non-apple approved softwares such as games, etc. do note that this will void ur warranty but fear not, u can restore everything back using itunes before u bring it back to service centre. tis is one of the troublesome part.

in iphone lingo, this "crack" is called jailbreak. all info u need for doing so is here Jailbreak

tested the above myself. it works fine.

2nd troublesome point is that if u ever need to reboot ur iphone aka off-on, the iphone needs to be connected to pc with itunes to start up, juz like the first time u got the phone, it requires connection to itunes on pc to get activated.

Note that JB your phone, there is some malicious script that can run on your phone.

You need to change some settings to prevent that. Search the web for more info

And when you JB your phone, remember to check/ uncheck the JB icon..

Else after JB, when you reboot.. a 'PineApple' logo will show.. it'll be damn obvious then.. [laugh]

So scary if it has a pineapple or a Rick Astley wallpaper... Jailbreaking is scary. Info from wikipedia:

Jailbroken phones are at risk for an iPhone virus, created by Ashley Towns, a 21 year old Australian technical college student. He told an Australian media outlet that he created the virus to raise the issue of security.[182][183] The virus exploits a default password in SSH of jailbroken units in order to rickroll users of infected devices.

Reply to first post: You can try finding apps at home on iTunes.

Of course! Apple will check the app and if it's on App Store, it's safe. Sometimes there is free games just that you need to search. You need the patience... And, here is official link for App Store:Apple App Store
