till now i have used 4 bottles of this oil alrdy ,mine is old old vtec car no complain ... alway achieve 12km/l @3-4L rpm max. I always change oil at an interval of 8000 km , thats when you can start to feel the car getting sluggish . my recoomanded will be 7k interval change lar if u wanna obtain optimal perfermance .

I did use this oil when i was travelling at NSH when my oil was 5k old .... no issue what so ever . Is a good oil at a good price .

Thanks for sharing the details. I may pour 3 L & top up with a can of STP oil. Balance 1L use as top up.

btw, hows the oil consumption? Thanks.

your car is 7.5 years old has 98K mileage on it, means you drive very little or the meter is amended?

98K is so low, why do you need to add the STP oil to thicker it? Do you have to top up often? I notice you are not very heavy footed.

bought from new. I just to & from work mon-fri. 40km daily. Then Sat/Sun bring kids out. Used to like to 4k often with once in a while 5-6k. (rpm) But from a few mths ago, I limit myself to +- 3k. Older gen Korean car, not so refine. Have vibes even when brand new as compared to Altis or even swift which I have tried. Thought 5-40 may be a little thin. Never had to top up oil at all though. But last round, at 8k, I check the dip, noted its at 2/3 full mark. And I add 200ml. ( as of last round ) 1st time I bothered with topping up oil as I drove till 10k. Previously I just change at 8K.

meter not amended. Thought since my capacity is 3.3-3.4 litres, its just nice also. Balance 1 L as spare. STP oil also insurance. Likely have to renew 5 yrs if at all. So take care of engine.

Oh I see. Why not try a thicker oil like 5w50, or change out the 5w40 earlier? Korean cars made 7-8 years ago are quite good already, with your low mileage should not have much issues.

Personally I never like all those whatever extras in the engine.

OWS 10-50 worked well for me. 10-40 still ok ....at least when timing belt still quite new. but 5-40 hmm. But since Tortoise oil is ultra budget oil, I thought to be safe also use a STP oil. A can only 7-8 bucks. Treat as insurance.

I was on CL and was happy with it till i crossed to turtle. It is even better IMO.

My usage is like average mileage for Singaporean. 20-25Kkm per year.

Occasionally i will rev to redline but most of the time between 3-4k rpm.

Mileage clocked should be about 80-90kkm. Changing at every 10kkm.
