Wreckwrx 1st Gear March 24, 2010 Share March 24, 2010 this is another cheapo way of saving $$ on capsules.... really innovative Finally gotten round to watching the video. Ya, I seen this one before. I read the comments as well as u have people slamming the dude for being a cheapo and why buy a nespresso when u can't afford the capsules blah... blah ..... blah..... Frankly if it doesn't spoil the machine, I thought this is a great way coz u are no longer restricted to what nestle can offer in terms of the capsules. ↡ Advertisement
Wreckwrx 1st Gear March 24, 2010 Share March 24, 2010 Wow, the things pple invent/do to get around the system. But at least there's more choices of beans with the nexpod. Review for nexpod seems mixed... But quite tempted to try it out myself.
Babyt 4th Gear March 27, 2010 Share March 27, 2010 I have the Clitz with the milk foamer... no regrets and I really look forward to the coffee in the morning now I think there are about 16 capsules types.. but after trying all, I now only buys the Roma, Apreggio and the Vivalto Lungo You can go to the outlets and have a taste before you decide to buy or not btw, i just purchased the citiz w frother. i have a qn about the frother. it comes with 2 round things, 1 is black, the other is wire mesh. the wire mesh cannot be popped into the protruding pole due to the anti-magnetic field...is it supposed to be placed outside the pole? must the black ring always be on the pole and that the wire mesh is added beside it so that it will float and foam more foam? Wreckwrx 1st Gear March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 I have the Clitz with the milk foamer... no regrets and I really look forward to the coffee in the morning now I think there are about 16 capsules types.. but after trying all, I now only buys the Roma, Apreggio and the Vivalto Lungo You can go to the outlets and have a taste before you decide to buy or not I got the Citiz with a separate Aeroccino due to the smaller footprint of the Machine itself. I too stocked up on Roma and Appregio capsules together with Dulsao and the Decaf Intenso. The Roma is great to drink black and the appregio is good for lattes. Dulsao is for days I want something else whilst the decaf is for my evenings after my dinner.
Gary84 1st Gear March 30, 2010 Share March 30, 2010 My brother replenishes his capsules from Rotterdam and it's only $0.70/pc... To me, the Nespresso is more convenient than those that use coffee beans and need grinding during the coffee making process. Each capsule cost between 97 cents to $1.07 and is much cheaper than drinking at the cafe outside. I have a set, including one for making capuccino, bought in 2006 for slightly more than $1K and is still serving me well. Mine is a heavy duty type used in restaurant and office and it uses a different capsule from those home models. At the time of purchase, Nespresso machines were not sold openly in departmental stores and it was only last year that they did. Today, you probably need to pay about $500 for a home machine. I have tasted coffee made by those machine that need to grind the coffee beans and the Nespresso machines and I don't find any significant difference between both, taste-wise. At least, Nespresso machine is so much easier to make a cuppa. Just pop a capsule into it and the coffee just flows. No grinding required! And, cleaning the Nespresso machine is very easy too. Wbucket Clutched March 30, 2010 Share March 30, 2010 Hmm, am interested in this Nespresso thing. By observing the machine, somehow I thought that it just pass hot water through the capsule. Seems pretty ex for such a function.
