Hi all, want to get a new phone but in a dilemma what phone to get. Currently using Samsung Omnia 1. Find that pure touch screen phones not that great hence prefer something with keypad or slide out QWERTY keyboard. Some phones I had in mind

1. Motorola DEXT

2. Nokia N97

3. Nokia E72

4. Blackberry Bold 9700

5. Omnia Pro

Any advice and recommendations? Thanks :D

2 things I don't like about nexus 1. It does not have a physical keyboard and it is not tied with any telecos. I'm looking to renew contract. [:p]

not sure about the rest of your choice but don't bother with your choice no. 1. played with it the other day. so GSL slow processor. Then i went on to play with an iphone immediately. performance so different.

btw, i not iphone user. i using an old nokia e65 which is also GSL slow.

U are right, onscreen keyboard is not like physical keyboard, where u have lesser chances of mistyping a word. Getting the nexus one is abit troublesome cos u need to purchase it online through google, but performance wise, it is no lesser than iphone. I luv both iphone and nexus one, but if they have a slide down keyboard, it'll be perfect, too bad both of them left out the physical keyboard and video capabilities.....I wonder why

2 things iphone lost to nokia, or symbian OS is that iphone OS do not have flash support and cannot mass sms, kinda weird apple left these 2 important factor out

BB Bold 9700. Its very good!

Thinking of getting this. What's so good about this phone which is beyond what is already advertised on their site? Is it possible to keep the SMS and Mail inbox separate? Same for HP contacts and E-mail contacts?

I am using a 5 year BB model which is very ancient in software and capability.

Thanks for the enlightenment.
