BB Bold 9700 is a good choice.

Currently, using iPhone, the onscreen keyboard is irritating me. Everytime sms or type will confirm type wrong 1 ;(

Motorola Milestone aka Droid...Qwerty + Touchscreen

Thinking of getting this. What's so good about this phone which is beyond what is already advertised on their site? Is it possible to keep the SMS and Mail inbox separate? Same for HP contacts and E-mail contacts?

I am using a 5 year BB model which is very ancient in software and capability.

Thanks for the enlightenment.

Yes the sms and inbox are separate folders!

The screen with the backlit LED is damn nice! Resolution is pretty good too! I'm enjoying every minute of using it. Best is it looks pretty damn good too!

Cool, the milestone looks good! Any idea whether any local teleco will bring it in?

Hi all, want to get a new phone but in a dilemma what phone to get. Currently using Samsung Omnia 1. Find that pure touch screen phones not that great hence prefer something with keypad or slide out QWERTY keyboard. Some phones I had in mind

1. Motorola DEXT

2. Nokia N97

3. Nokia E72

4. Blackberry Bold 9700

5. Omnia Pro

Any advice and recommendations? Thanks :D

don't go for Omnia Pro...go for Omnia Pro II...3.6" WinMO 6.5 OS with touch screen + full slide out qwerty keyboard with big ass buttons..

i just got it's cousin, the Omnia 2...no regrets..rivals the iphone in almost all aspects, and not forgetting beats the crap out of iphone with it's 5mp LED flash camera and the ability to multitask..not forgetting the fact that it don't need that crappy itunes to transfer every single damn thing..

when compared to the iPhone..i think every other smartphone will be laggy..i think one of the major reason that iPhone is so fast is the lack of multitasking on it.. to me, the ability to multitask can make up for the slight lag that i experienced on my Omnia2

Android? the specs page says it will run on symbian...

OOPS.

I got it mixed up with the Xperia X10. (And X10 I forgot doesn't have a pro version, which means only OSD keyboard)

Anyway Symbian still good. As long as not Apple can leow! [laugh]

iPhone is so fast is the lack of multitasking on it..

You should read D.Life today, someone was defending the iPhone's capability to multi-task, stating that it can run play music, surf net and check emails at the same time...

After I read that article I threw away D.Life. Nothing has changed for the past 5 years. [rolleyes]

I'm forced to read it. <_<

Aiyah.

To them "multitask" is sms and listen to music. In the same way some teens think that buying a mac makes them hip and cool.

Ever heard of white trash culture? Yup...

Thanks. Will probably get it once I have the budget. My old BB needs recharging every 12 hours now.
