is your air con air filter blocked? This got to be changed at regular intervals - I change my every 40K. Either DIY - buy from ming gee or song yi or go to some of this aircon shops.

1) Filter choked

2) Cooling coil choked

Ya that old man....very rude and arrogant. [thumbsdown][thumbsdown][thumbsdown] need to be [rifle]

Well, he got a lesson he never forgot in 2009 when he screwed up my car. He paid a huge sum to rectify in the end.

I dont want to elaborate as the incident was long ago....

hi bros,

tks for the referral to TOmika @ ubi.

Had a bad knock on front bumper and caused the air con piping to to be lifted and it kappot after 2 weeks with the refrigerant spraying onto the front bumper skirting.

CAlled TOmika on Sat to get a quote but wasnt able to as they need to see the damage.

Went down on Monday, got everything fixed in 3 hrs. replace piping , checked condenser , realigned condenser as it was knocked inwards, top up the oils etc.

Am Satisfied with the job done. [thumbsup]

Checked on my compressor....many workshop told me to change....but for Kim....no need....just tighten the belt...the irritating sound gone. $10 for 30min work and inspection. [thumbsup] He is very experienced....nice chap with two nice workers. [thumbsup]

My turn for FR on KIM. Aircon blow warm air after travelling for abt 30min. After rest a while, it is back to normal.

went to markcool. they din even look at my car. immediately answer was "change compressor, very normal to happen for honda"

decided to try out kim. went down there, told them my prob, the young chap just used a stick to push something then aircon working again. he confirmed is the "magnet" (i tink he meant the clutch). quoted me $260 all in. i ask for discount, they say not possible. need 3 hours. since i couldn't wait, i went back on the 2nd day. he say most workshops will ask u to change compressor, but actually not necessary. very honest.

next day went back and got it fixed. was a smooth transaction. he said needed 3 hours, and exactly at 3 hours, he call me to say ok, done. when i paid, he only charged me $240! wah, nice surprise.

not for bros that are very ngeow tho'. the car body was quite dirty after that, they din help me wipe or watever. since it doesn't bother me, i just collected the car and went off. overall good experience. will recommend to friends.

10 sec diagnosis, save $400, avoid changing compressor. [thumbsup]

My car aircon is not as cold as before. It is still cold though but not very cold. It can be felt especially on a hot day. Do you know if servicing the aircon (like changing compressor oil and others) will rectify the problem?
