2G iPhone went nasty

My brother-in-law bought a 2nd hand 2G iPhone a while ago.

Today he asked me to install some apps for him.

I tried to but can't seem to add apps, then I noticed the firmware is outdated at 3.0, so I update it to 3.1.3.

After the update, when I turn it on, it shows "Emergency Call".

Then I realised this is something to do which Hack-the-Phone, OMG.

I updated the jail-broke 2G iPhone with new firmware.

I quickly use iTunes to do restore, but it keep showing "SIM card not correct".

 

Jia lat, this is big problem man, some more it's US version.

 

Can anyone suggest what I can do to restore it back to original state?

u mean u updated a jail broken firmware ar? i think up lorry liao. apple store wun fix for u.

either you google for the tips online on how to unbrick your 2g iphone

 

if you're not comfortable doing yourself you can head down to those iphone specialist at simlim square.

for a small fee, they should be unbrick it and at the same time upgrade to the lastest firmware.

 

there is one pretty good one at Sim lim square.

always get my accessories from him

 

his shop are opposite the Tec -Drome the shop that sell original games in simlim square for years.

heard they moving to the unit opposite ..

go here for all info and programmes required. u need to unlock ur 2G to use our local simcards. Im using a 2G btw, but didnt bother to upgrade to the latest latest iphone firmware. to update to latest firmware, u will have to do a simple hack, everyting can be found in the iclarified site!

it must be a locked US set. get it unlocked.
