Where to Find GPS Coordinates

I just go a 2nd hand GPS. Found very difficult to input address (especially for Malaysia) for search location.
Any one know any web that I can get a GPS coordinates base on google map location.

I am not sure about google map being able to give you the coordinates of any specific location on the map as I prefer Garmin third party MFM and MSM maps which are very much more detailed and up-to-date. Besides, with Garmin, they provide this free software called mapsource which, working with a mapsource installer, allows you to search for a specific location and obtain the coordinates of that location. Garmin mapsource can do more than searching for coordinates. Before you download mapsource, you need to download the MFM map of My/Sg/Bru and South Thailand from the Free Map Download sub-forum of MFM. Next u need to go to http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209 to download the latest version (6.15.11) of mapsource. Once you have done both, you are able to view the map and search for locations and coordinates. You can also plan and views the routes on it. Besides MFM, you can also download the MSM mapsource installer from the MSM website. You do not need to own a Garmin in order to download the MFM/MSM maps and mapsource. Thanks.

It should be quite easy. Under search, you can select under "city" to narrow down your search.

just select place you want the co-ordinates, then click "send" a pop up window will appear

 

the string of numbers indcating the co-ordinates is inside, not difficult to spot

Install/Enable "Position Finder" onto your google maps. Then just click anywhere on map and the coordinates will be displayed in a pop up bubble.

address about MY is hard... especially on shinco cos using mapking and the map is not updated frequently... hence not accurate...

 

its much easier to search via POI

Digging a 2 year + old thread hoping there is new solution to obtain the GPS Coordinates. Google map can't seem to locate the coordinates using the send link method and using the http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html the location is a bit off when check upon google map.

 

Can any guru shed some light. Thanks.

 

(recently installed new firewall and wonder if it the cause)
