then why don't they sell the standard 525bhp model on the C63AMG since owners would want to tune their engines???

what an irony....

market placement...

but they do sell C63s with performance package plus (480+ bhp) with stiffer suspension, wheels and carbon ceramic brakes (i think??)

wow.. sounds good... but you still have to tune the suspension to handle that power around the track

yes

KW KV3 or Clubsport

or wide-body kit to place 305 tyres.

Give room for future upgrades mah. Next new model up 20bhp and call it the C63AMGG. Next next new model up 30bhp and call it the all new C63AMGGG and so on.

Very typical of car manufacturers. Next "new" model up abit BHP and call it the all new model with all new engine.

next engine no more 6.208L V8 but rather twin turbo 5.5L V8

more modding potential

it's not AMG

but rather it's the 6.2V8 that pulls like crazy....

its the most powerful NA V8 ever man.

Neutral Newbie

dun buy 318i lah, top up another 15-20k to buy 320i or A4 or C180. My friend just bought 318i 1 month ago but now already regret. No iDrive system, only have CD changers. No fancy digital climate controls, no dual zone a/c, no rear aircon & rear bench does not fold down. Lower power only 136bhp and 184Nm torque, missing paddle shifters, no Xenon lights, no dimming rear & side view mirror... luxury car without these as standard features ...sianz [bigcry]

though i prefer the interior of the 3-Series compared to the C-Class and A4,

i seriously will wait till the new model comes....

or else i'd recommend getting a 2nd hand 3-Series....

much more worth to me....

Badge is just a badge. There's a lot more than a badge but having said that, I would agree that majority in our buying market places high priority on badge.

For me, I was cultivated from young, esp when I had both the prefect and libriarian badge.

haha now wheres my young scientist badge?? [laugh]

act for A4 the ambition trim is worth every bit of the 11k....the bucket seats, paddle shifters, 18', s line kit, DRL...easily adds up... simply love the car... [nosebleed]

Elviskoh is right. The new 318i is underpower. My friend have brought the 318i last year and regard too. Can't even catch up with suzuki swift 1.6 according to him. He said his previous old E46 318i ride is rated 149bhp and response is better than the currently model. The last batch of e46 318i ended at the end of feb 05 and the new 3 series E90 is launch from year 05 till now. But still using the same N46 valvetronics engine from E46.Just that the ecu is tune to lower hosepower to have a better fuel comsumption. The old bimmer is more lasting than the new model due to made in germany. Now some series is made in south africa and China which cater for asia market.

As for audi my personnal view is the car too overprice.
