hi friends, i'm new to Alfa Romeos and am thinking of picking an Alfa 147 as my first car. It's a 2nd hand 2008 silver 147, 2.0L Selespeed. I wanted to ask for your advice on how much maintenance and repairs cost before i buy it. is it reliable? cosmetics wise i am in love with the design and interior and completely taken by the seats. the front seats are so comfortable!

thanks for any advice you can give!!

it was my 4th time stuck in the middle of the road, worst case was along orchard road, can you imagine, can't find a hole to hide; all choked by dried leaves that's why keep flooding!!

after towed to workshop and got it fixed, the thought of selling the car gone immediately ;-) sigh... bella please don't throw anymore tantrum on me again!

Sounds scary, I was comtemplating on the 147 because it is a nice sporty unique conti car, but reliability is very important for me too....4 times? you must love your car very much!

Well.. once you get into the car and drive, you will understand!!! Was very keen in the Audi S3, reliable and fast, but the drive and feel is just different...

I was surfing sgcarmart last night and hatchback vs hatchback maybe the impreza S-GT can compare to the 147.

Hey, anyone know where I can go for full exhaust system on my 147? Extractors, catback etc. Also any ECUs/piggybacks/reflash to recommend and workshops with the expertise to do them? AS?

There are a few exhaust system that are available locally and some have to order online. Please note catback are not TUV certified hence only the mufflers are approved. Some suggestions:

1. Supersprint Catback (From JC or order via www.supersprint.com)

2. Remus Catback (From FK or Direct Remus Agent at Waterloo Centre)

3. Ragazzon (www.ragazzon.it)

4. Novitec Catback

5. Orque Japan

6. Tezzo Japan

You can try the following websites to order:

As for AS? No comments as I don't go there, let the others feedback.
