Gohsj89 1st Gear July 5, 2010 Author Share July 5, 2010 hi bro, have you tried steering the steering wheel and at the same time turn the key? yes. i tried that. actually, the issue is, the key knob cannot detect that the gear knob is totally in P position. Dunno Neutral Newbie July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 Errmmm...how does gear knob screws affect your ignition keys? The guy removed the screws behind the gear knob so that he can remove the knob so that the console panel can be removed to access the lights. Nothing to do with the ignition keys section. There's no linkage. Is your gear shift firmly in P? If it's not P, you cannot turn the key to remove it at all after you off the engine.
Dunno Neutral Newbie July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 yes. i tried that. actually, the issue is, the key knob cannot detect that the gear knob is totally in P position. Step on the brakes and shift the gear up and down a few times then try again.

Gohsj89 1st Gear July 5, 2010 Author Share July 5, 2010 As the Auto Car got this design, Gear Knob must be at P position for the key to come out. Could it be that the P Position is not tight enough? I have P---->2, 2---->P many times already..
