Mockngbrd Supersonic July 31, 2010 Author Share July 31, 2010 i dun wanto keep the speakers i have cos they are not oem. what happened was previous owner installed pioneers and cut 2 more holes into my rear board, leaving the OEM speaker grilles intact. I want to remoove the current speakers (pioneers), get them to carpet and cover up the 2 (big) holes and install OEM sized speakers using the OEM enclosures. Front speakers i'm not THAT picky about. I think with the upped budget, i;ll havto push back the ICE install ↡ Advertisement

Zaska 1st Gear July 31, 2010 Share July 31, 2010 $1k can get u a decent 2 way component + a 2 or 4 ch amp just that it all depends on how choosy u are (brand conscious or not ). CDT cost abt $300-350 but for brands like scanspeak, pioneer, alpine, hertz & a few others is around $400-600. For amps, consider audison (LRX series if possible), Alpine, rockford, ppi, orion(not sure if still avail). Of course you can choose to buy other brands like Lanzar, infinity etc but my preference is still the first 5 that i have mentioned.

5936 1st Gear July 31, 2010 Share July 31, 2010 May I ask what car you use? Will you care to share some photos? Satellite speakers are compact and no cutting required. usually strong double side tapes will do.

Picanto 3rd Gear August 1, 2010 Share August 1, 2010 $988 for the component + woofer + amplifier. Sounds like a good deal. have to factor in the wiring and labour cost as well. $988 is cash and carry only. its for those who dun like to waste time to mix and match their ICE

SimonTan 2nd Gear August 3, 2010 Share August 3, 2010 Chey....I really thought the $988 includes everything installed into car. So still have to pay for cables + fuses + woofer box + labours? How much extra will that be? Any one knows the average additional costs?
