Too bad video not on fuel injectors cleaner. I usually pour cleaners. Not sure if any negative effect? I hope not, as these are detergent , solvent. Yuan 6th Gear August 1, 2010 Share August 1, 2010 Just stick to good engine oil and the grade of fuel to be used as stated in your car manual.
Verve 1st Gear August 1, 2010 Share August 1, 2010 tried a lot all dun work except fp60 which really cleaned up the engine. when i stopped no diff cos engine already cleaned. 2 mths later i used and the effect (cleaning) is back again. cheap too, comparatively. do a search on fp60. i am no salesman and have no vested interest. just sharing what has benefitted me. 5936 1st Gear August 1, 2010 Share August 1, 2010 Short trip at high speed cruising will also clean up engine? I felt that after returning trip from Malacca, engine seemed more responsive, eager to rev. Anyone with same observations?
Ghostami 2nd Gear August 1, 2010 Share August 1, 2010 Not only that, it will charge up your battery which you normally don't in Sg... High speed clears up your carbon build up due to the heat generated at the constant pace of drive at the speed.
Bulls_is_back 1st Gear August 1, 2010 Share August 1, 2010 When added at a ratio of say 1:50, it means that there is roughly -2% less fuel entering the combustion chamber as measured by the ECU. Maybe that accounts for the loss in power of the Rover-K engine w/ stock ECU that may not be able to take advantage of the now higher octane fuel. Maybe a VTEC, NEO VVL or VVTL-i type NA engine could. In TC/SC engine that is usually knock limited, the higher octane fuel may allow one to run higher boost or more aggressive tuning map for more power.
