My friend who is driving a 1.6A Mazda 3 is clocking ~9.5km/L.. Am looking for a resale 2.0A Mazda 3 with budget of $40k. Based on users' contributions in ------ website, Mazda3 1.6A fc ranges fr 7.5 to 17.6 km/l, average is 10.4 km/l. (a lot depends on highway or urban driving, heavy or light footed) Mazda3 2.0A fc is 10.5 km/l on average (only 2 users contributed info). So, it might be that whether 1.6 or 2.0 litres, fc is not tat different. More important is ur driving style.

TEELEAVES 1st Gear September 21, 2010 Share September 21, 2010 yah, i lurve my MZ3 SP 2007, getting abt 13-14 km/l, but i am quite lightfoot. unless really super late, i rather go easy on the gas and coast my way to the destination than to "chwah" the accelerator. The guiding principle is to step on the accelerator as if there is an egg stuck at the bottom. i lurve getting a good/respectable mileage from my MZ3, yet enjoy the stability and drive with a quasi conti feel. : P
Sceptics Neutral Newbie September 21, 2010 Share September 21, 2010 i would say it depends on 1) what type of driver are you 2) the route you take to work(highway% city%) 3) whats your previous car reason being if you are the heavy footer type, you are going to find horrendous FC generally for the maz3 cos the car is heavy. i am driving a 1.6A and get around 12-13.1 cos i am a light footer my previous car had horrible power to weight ratio so on the mazda 3 with its excellent handling, i at least enjoy my ride everytime i take a corner. but if you're driving a performance/semi performance car....the mazda 3 with its 80km and above acceleration deadspot is just so going to make u feel like crashing it into the barricade. Ky13 Clutched September 21, 2010 Share September 21, 2010 My sis's 2005 1.6 Mazda-3 on 17" rims always gave me 8 to 9 km/Ltr. Perhaps, I am quite an impatient driver. lol ↡ Advertisement
