The Judge thought that since the Accused is BREASTFEEDING , she would not have consumed alcohol.

There wouldn't be a need to waste time and resources provided by taxpayers to appeal the sentence IF the judge had exercised proper judgement when presiding over the case.

Can't speculate la since we all know we have the best justice system in the world.

Just remember that as long as you can hire the best lawyer to present your ultra cool reasons I'm sure the court will be just as fair to you.

Hi bro, see this report by the judge, & judge for yourself. I don't study law, but ask yourself have the judge or investigation committee if there is one, done enough, & is the judge bias, or galible to believe whats the accuse said.

 

Anyway, look at my points raise up a few post before.

 

Should you or should we not question our law system, & the quality of our judges? But I will be happy to be proven wrong.

If that is really 100% true in most case, than I think we are no better than the people who are in the China Emperor ruling period. Normally the rich gets away with everything than, maybe we are just an improve version of the society back than.

I'm also pissed when I read this report. Furthermore kenna let off so lightly. Is it because she's rich, or related to someone important?

Which makes me think, from now on, can anyone just use the same excuse if ever hit someone on the road and run? Although I'm not driving a Lexus, but my soundproofing also quite good mah.

 

This will be a precedent for future case.

Oh isn't it all so true? Just need to look at previous cases to prove the points above.

 

Woman driver, ran red light, crashed into m/cycle, killed the pillion in the process, only 1 day jail.

I dont know why you are so angry over the report.

 

Note that this is a Court Report. Everything said suppose to be inside. whether the judge believe or not it still have to be inside.

 

in short, even if you give lame excuse, it will still be inside the reports. whether that is the reason Judge believe or not, is secondary for a report.

Woman driver crashed into cyclist but thought he was tree branch

HER car rammed into a cyclist from the rear so hard that he flew and hit the front windscreen, cracking part of it, before rolling onto the road.

 

But Cleopatra Wong Yuin Ping, 30, thought the body that smashed into the windscreen was a rotten tree branch that had fallen.

 

She did not bother to stop and continued driving her car along Holland Road.

Do you think the driver of the BMW is aware that he had knocked down a kid?

 

I don't think so. I think he had thought that he had run over a log. I don't think the driver can see the kid from his rear view mirror.

 

I think for the case in sillypore, it is absurd for the judge to believe in such a lame excuse.

 

I hope someone of a higher authorities than the judge could do something about the case.

I think you all should read the report again and see the reason of the sentence and not the document submitted for migitation. Read the whole report and not what you want or think it is.

 

In the report and explanation of the sentence, the judge had in no way stated that he/she consider Not seeing the passengers as a execuse. Plus, the sentence is also base on the fact that LTA had reduce the sentence from Dangerous Driving to Inconsiderate driving.

 

Just because ppl is driving a Lexus, we have to scrutinsed the judge?

For me I am annoyed about two things..

1. That the charges were so light (this is not the Judges fault, and never said it was)

2. That Cleopatra (what a stupid name - did her parents give her or self adopt?) was not more fully challenged on not see cyclist and that judge can say "was apparent that cyclist was in middle of road)
