Hi all,

 

Need to go overseas for almost 1 week plus. so my car no1 will be driving.

when i come back will i be expecting the battery to be dry?

or isnt ok not for me not to turn on the engine for a week when im overseas?

will there be any other problems?

One week is okay unless your battery is already weak. If more then that I suggest to remove any one of the battery cable from the terminal using a plyer or spanner so when u come back just reconnect back and your car will start. However your car radio setting will reset to factory.

1 week is to short a period to worry... 1 mth maybe...

One week not a big problem. Just choose a nice spot to park.

if open car park, then be prepared for big clean up when returned.

Bird poo, rain plus dust, dry leaves and etc..etc..

Why expect battery to be dry when you come back?

Ever excountered weaker engine after leaving it unused for a week (recovered normal performance after about three weeks usage later)

It doesn't really matter whether M Brand or K Brand. If thing happens it will happen. Recalling a K Car burnt itself away when parked at Carpark? The conclusion was due to short circuit, probably due to fault battery, I suspect. IMHO.

I leave my car in Singapore for 6 months while overseas with no problem.

Have been doing this for 30 years some time with the car I have in the UK during cold cold UK winters and the car wasn't garaged.

 

6 months... your battery is not a battery...

The newer batts should not have a problem even after a month......

PS btw renting car on short term is illegal.
