This prick got no family, no friends, no gf, no relatives in S'pore????

This piece of land you call S'pore and the man you call Papa, the woman you call Mama, the girl you call Sis, the boy you call Brother, the old man you call Grandpa, the old lady you call Grandma... who happen to stay in this piece of land and collectively are called S'porean........... you farking prick....

If I understand him correctly his gripe is that he laments his status in society and that the climb up the social hiearchy is too hard/competive. He blames Foreigners for competing for scarce resources like jobs and homes and making it hard for him to climb up. So he doesnt understand why he has to do NS to protect a system which he feels doesnt benefit him.

Thats the problem when you have materialism as the main goal in your manifesto, but partially all chinese wherever they are moneycentric. Everybody gets compared to how much material things they have, cars they drive or homes they stay in. Largely SG is an open economy and anybody with enough drive or wit and make it big. See GCT, he doesnt come from a rich family or Peter Lim, he is no PHD. Ng Teng Fong is a Singaporean as well but when you start at the bottom of the food chain, the odds seem insurmountable. Thats the main reason the strawberry soft generation is lamenting. They wanna be wealthy but they feel the road is too hard and many prizes like housng are getting out of reach. So maybe they will vote PAP out of governance and hope the opposition can do a better job? I am not sure the opposition can really give these strawberry generation better paying jobs or cheaper homes or free cars, can you?

You wanna know what I think? It don't really matter what I think. Once that first bullet goes past your head, politics and all that stuff, just goes right out the window. What will matter is the brothers wearing the uniform next to you. Staying alive to see your family, keeping others alive so that you do not have to carry the hastily written last words back to the deceased's family

i have to agree with you.

only the man next to you will count for anything.

Does he mean defending as in wartimes? I think most bros here, me included will bear arms should the need arise. He could have meant defending his rights and privileges as a true blooded Singaporean. How could we defend our own rice bowls when we have to share the same pie with other non-singaporeans?

I for one, agree that foreign talents are needed in our economy to contribute unique skills which we do not have (And learn those skills so that we can be self-sufficient). But i think the issue is that, we are letting in too many? Also, i am also not aware that MOE hard sells to China free tuition and lodging to students ?? And the locals have to use parents' CPF for the study loans ...

personally, i hate their guts.

being able to lie to everyone's faces.

i'm a terrible liar, yet i feel i can do a better job, given time to learn how the political world works. Since the challenge is out, and if someone who thinks he/she can do a better job should stand up, well. Here i am.

but i'm a little far away now.

1. Housing is a neccesity everyone needs and should have, not a "prize" as u put it which to me means u need to be a winner in life to get a housing.

2. Being a neccesity, many of us wants cheap basic accomodation that we can call our own (even if it is for 99years only), most of us are not aiming for private or DBSS or EC.

3. HDB is suppose to provide housing to everyone so that every citizen can afford one and own one, HDB wasnt established to 'sell at market rate' and 'driven by market forces' and 'supply and demand' and 'we provide better designed housing now so it is worth the high price but still affordable'.

There is a limited amount of housing in Singapore.

Whether its a landed property or a HDB flat.

When you have FT clowns buying up landed/flats or renting these properties,

the prices overall shoot up as they are very willing to pay.

So rubbish talk about FTs not competing with us for housing.

This guy who says "I don't know what I'm defending anymore" ought to be shot.

You think the world owns you a living, young man?

It does not matter if you live in Singapore, Shanghai, India, Vietnam or Africa. The theory is very simple, To Each his Own.

To say such words only means one thing to me, YOU ARE NOT COMPETITIVE ENOUGH TO BE LIVING HERE. GO SOMEWHERE LESS COMPETITIVE, YOU CANNOT SURVIVE HERE, MOMMY'S BOY.

Just like the thousands of FT, who mostly are Not Competitive enough in their own countries thats why they escape here, only to find that it is equally competitive here.

You don't know what you are defending for? Let me tell you, you do not need to defend the FTs, you do not need to defend anyone other than yourself and your immediate family. They are who you are defending for.

I totally agreed with SM Goh's respond towards this loser's words. It is really dangerous to have this kind of people. They seriously think the world or the government really owns them a living.

Young man, when you were born, NOBODY promised you life will be fair and you will be sleeping in a rose garden.

You go and fight for it yourself.

When you were young, mommy and daddy provides all the sugars and milk, so you feel damn contended and had big dreams of defending the countries and making it big.

Then 20 yrs later you stepped into the workforce and you realized "Hey, its really tough here" and then all of a sudden, you don't know what you are defending for anymore.

If I am SM Goh, and if I could, I will on the spot label this guy one word "LOSER".

Hahaha, yeah, there are actually 3 camps here regarding this young man.

1) Those who agree with him

2) Those who don't

3) Those who feels he got balls (but not neccesary agree with him)
