fact is none of the CM are actually DM? or at least a most defensive CM as what Song to AFC was.

Hence Arteta for the role (for now).

but really it made clear that DM was not actually part of the plan, that AW relies a lot on his defenders.

ya... in fact it really seems we did not play with a real DM after gilberto...... so i wonder if AW will change his stance on this

Daniele De Rossi has confirmed at press conference he will be staying at Roma and not moving to Manchester City.

.. quality as this is rare nowadays.

..

De Rossi, 29, spoke of his devotion to his hometown club, leaving little doubt as to where his future lies after a second consecutive summer linking him with long-time admirer Roberto Mancini and the Premier League champions.

He said: "I'm staying here. I'm happy here and I have never, never, asked to leave. People have written all sorts of things, about me, about Mancini. Some of it makes me laugh. Some of it makes me angry. I decided to talk today, but it wasn't my intention to talk about an offer from Manchester City.

"This is a normal press conference for me, not the announcement of the Third World War. I can swear to you one thing: if I ever think about leaving, I'll come here in front of these microphones and speak, like a 30 year-old-man should do.

"I always told the truth, even when we were talking about money, never hiding anything. For me it's important to say my piece. I am here at Roma, I'm happy and never asked to leave."

Skysports

skysports also now reporting done deal.. as usual.. arsenal is the slowest when announcing new players but fastest when selling players

Add on one more point... i always see Arsenal getting a good deal...

they seem to have good negotiators at the clubs...

often read that they holding out for 20 million... but ends up dragging and selling for 25 million...

for other clubs always vice versa...
