Quirky_ster Clutched January 19, 2011 Share January 19, 2011 Insteresting assault to come from Wish888...... Welll think about it, for a full featured MPV that is cheaper than Wish and Stream... due to COE cat differences... the decision is so plain simple... But then.. throw in some doubts and ppl will crawl back to the usual simple basic MPV.... Been driving my C4GP for almost a year now and clocking 30K km ... the ride is just sooo very comfort and nice.. even when compared among other Conti MPV... compare to wish... simply put.. just like the the Crown Taxi ride feel to Sonata Taxi... Jetabout777 1st Gear January 19, 2011 Share January 19, 2011 I'm ex-Citroen owner, and with my 3 yrs experience with C&C, this is my comments: Citroen makes beautiful car, but low standard electronic accessories, and worst service from C&C, both attitude & spare parts. Within 3 yrs, my ex-C4 has the following changed/problems: 1. Temperature sensor 2. Child-Lock module (waited >3 months) 3. Front card compartment (waited for >1 month) 4. Fuel leakage to back-seat 5. Air-con leakage to front-seat (3 times and still not fixed) 6. High fuel consumption Whoever want to buy a Citroen, a very good luck to you. It seems like C&C don't really know how to fix these cars. I went back to C&C for a diagnosis on an idle problem as I have never experienced such a problem on any car which I have driven before, hence I placed my trust with them. They diagnosed the vehicle and advised me to change several parts which cost a bomb and still have to wait hell long for the parts to come in. I went outside workshop to diagnose and got the problem fixed at only $200. Talk about workshop competency... However, I believe one of the service advisors who has a similar name to MM Lee has very good service standards and a nice chap. That's the only consolation. Been driving my C4GP for almost a year now and clocking 30K km ... the ride is just sooo very comfort and nice.. even when compared among other Conti MPV... compare to wish... simply put.. just like the the Crown Taxi ride feel to Sonata Taxi... There are people who prefer the floaty ride quality of the Crown (can't feel much of the road irregularities and bumps), while others prefer the bouncier feeling of the Sonata (can feel the road bumps and irregularities, but you as the passenger will be bouncing up and down with the road irregularities). This isn't to be confused with harsh suspension, where every road irregularities is transmitted to your spine. In europe, Citroen is a cheap brand, and depreciates like crazy. They're constantly giving discounts to make it attractive. Are we getting such treatment here?

Sabretan 4th Gear January 22, 2011 Share January 22, 2011 MM Lee? Wow...I didn't know he sideline as service advisor...Ok jk. but that's the problem w most conti brand...coz their sales volume is not that huge, most of the service staff are not that competent, but there is a difference bet incompetent but good customer service and incompetent and lousy customer service....Seems like CnC dishes out a lot of incompetent n lousy customer service, but I maybe wrong, coz I ain't their customer. It is not an apple to apple comparison bet Citroen in Europe n Spore. In Europe, Merc and VW are also inexpensive brand( in Germany, most cabs are Merc cabs)...so does that mean it is cheap in Spore too?
Furrynadz 5th Gear January 22, 2011 Share January 22, 2011 c&c is good already compared to what u get from others like opel/renault/peugeot/ford
Jetabout777 1st Gear January 22, 2011 Share January 22, 2011 c&c is good already compared to what u get from others like opel/renault/peugeot/ford I ever experienced Peugeot and Ford before so I believe I can do a fair comparison. I believe C&C and VA almost the same. One fella from VA name start with T and rhyme like tatjadi ever informed me wrong information about engine oil for several rounds of servicing till I had to buy engine oil from outside. When I went to another service advisor then I finally found out the truth. For conti servicing, I think Volvo @ SM, now Wearnes is the best. Free taxi service and service advisor help customer save money by telling them not to change parts when not necessary. Servicing also not expensive and comparable to many mass market conti and japanese brands.

I'm totally agreed - C&C just don't know Citroen, one good advisor don't change their image. Any car from any make may have problem, it's the attitude and willingness of after sales service counts. That recall another incident on my ex-C4: squeak sound from the rear seat. 1st service: They applied lubricant 2nd service: They applied lubricant again 3rd service: Again applied lubricant, although they claimed that's a thicker one Each time the squeak sound came back before I reached home. 4th service: Then they knew which component to replaced (or then willing to replace) The front trim also the same - it always pop-up. Everytime they claimed they've replaced new one, but only till close to the 3rd year, they sent my ex-C4 to local vendor then got the problem fixed. The battery is another headache - every year it dies off without warning, and that's only ~20Km. The 2nd one was dead 1 week after the service, and when I return to C&C, they told me that my battery is just out of warranty few days ago, so no replacement. I still love Citroen, it's beautiful. But when I think of C&C, that sucks.

Keynes7 Neutral Newbie January 26, 2011 Share January 26, 2011 Is C4 a good buy?? Now about 90k plus. But OMV only abt 16k. Heard resale value not good, but i thought exterior quite cool though
Sabretan 4th Gear January 26, 2011 Share January 26, 2011 when u buy Conti cars...no need to talk abt resale value...tat's the cold hard fact. I think most agree w me tat main prb w conti cars sold in Spore...the AD focus too much on marketing n market share n not so much on after sales service.... That is wat will finally work...coz if the owners really like e car n impressed by the service, word of mouth advertisement will beat the thousands they spend on Newspaper or TV ads.
