Suspect Cisco's Traffic Marshals are not locals

I think many have bad experience with some traffic marshals, my only fear is these are not locals whom do not have the empathy and not there to serve for the public good. No matter what nationality when given the task and authority they should act with justice and equality.

Case in point.......

Along upper serangoon road, a stretch of eateries with Maybank along the stretch of shop house....think some may know.

Cisco's is almost always there 24/7.......

Near the Alison porridge there are some parking slots along the road.

One Cisco marshal standing there when I arrived, put on my signals and wait for a parking lot.

All the time the officer stand there with his "cool" shades doing nothing.

One week later send me a love letter for obstructing traffic, with 4 demerit points and $150 fine.

Pissed off.... I wrote to TP that the officer being a representative of the traffic police force is to serve the public.

The officer in question do not sees himself in the uniform of authority to serve but instead abuses his power.

While we peasants are suppose to fear them like GODS.

Am quite sure anyone here in this forum that if any of these Cisco officer come over and asked you to move your car; all of us including myself will gladly do so.

TP acknowledge my letter and kind to waive off my summons but not without a warning which I appreciate.

Some may say that I have caused traffic obstruction and should be punished, that I do not argue and I admit is my mistake.

My problem is Cisco officers being the representative of the law and order should act in good faith with the mentality to serve the public.

Thus my conclusion is most of these Cisco are not locals and they do not care about the locals.

I hope Singapore will not come to a position where we have to out source the whole police unit to 3th parties and there will be no more integrity in the uniform anymore.

When your car was stationary, was it in a lot? If not, it should have been on either a double yellow lined road or the likes. Then you should have had the mind to move on. They are not obliged to inform you to move on. If informing you was the fella's responsibility and your prerogative, then what is the whole point of making you undergo the highway code?

Why do you think vehicles of all makes and all guises zoom off when the almighty parking warden comes around in the carpark then? If waiting for a parking lot was a valid lot is a valid excuse then maybe i have been living in a different world.

the area you stop is it in a car park or road? If road you cant stop and wait for a lot as you will be causing obstruction. A lot of things are common sense no need for someone to approach and tell you. Anyway I don't think there's an offence with 4 points and $150 fine. Whats the actual offence stated in your summon?

TS say wait for parking lot, is the car in the lot coming out?

If not, you are just obstructing traffic on another lane, car behind you never horn? imagine all the cars behind you all must e-brake, stop, signal right to overtake you, an accident prone maneuver.

Sometimes I feel that they need to. To deal with people like you..

One morning at a polyclinic... empty carpark with one car....

One idiot came and parked at handicap lot with all so many vacant lots.

Cisco went over to talk to him nicely about "no parking".

You take a drive around Geylang and see those double parking people waiting for lots.

Not obstructing traffic? Single parking, traffic already slow. Double parking, 4 lanes became 2.

Old man replied that he didn’t know it is for handicap and it only English words and he don’t understand. (which handicap lot do not have logo on the lot one? It is a blind driver and try to argue his way out)...

Guess that you belong to these people, need to let people ask you nicely then you move off. Have you ever consider the thoughts and inconveniences to others in the first place.

Want to talk about the integrity??? To get the job all they need is the qualifications not the morale of being a uniform officer....

agree with you, drivers should have the basic responsibility and integrity first before talking about others. If everybody drives with due care and responsibility we don't even need a warrant in the first place

But along upper serangoon rd, you will see that its the usual practice to wait beside all the parallel parked cars. TS, next time just turn in the private estate or the open car park beside the selegie bean curd. Walk abit only.

That's a good rebuff.

Why pay so much for something with a limited life when we can't use it to it's max capacity?

Yes, I may have obstructed the traffic....note the word "May Have"

If I am wrong then the authorities that made this parallel parking lots is more wrong then me!!!

Amidst all the evasive maneuver that I will cause other road user, if my car is going into a empty parking lot that time will still have the same result on other road users. So the authorities are making death traps for us to fall to generate revenue??? [:p] I'm sure not. So why are the parking lots there?????

As a matter of fact, there are so may incident when I see some officers walk passed those cars waiting for a slot in many other places. I am sure you guys must have come across one or two. I think I must be stupid and should take the highway code again.

So before the self-righteous ones starts your flame, look at other roads where there are traffic that travels in and out with parking lots.

Don't they also obstruct the traffic????

Also like GLZT mentioned that it is common sight in that area, furthermore there is no double white or yellow line.

Really I thought waiting along there is normal which I did not even get off the car, run off do errant and come back.

BTW private estate there worst, Cisco siebe siao on one.

Blind is also a handicap, I sure you know.... [laugh]

I am sure I will not argue my way out if the officer come over and asked me to leave.

If he throw the rule book I surely die one....law by law mahh....
