Pisces69 6th Gear January 9, 2011 Share January 9, 2011 (edited) I see thanks for the advice. Tot it seems quite a decent price. Any advice what range should a '07 airwave and a '08 airwave shd cost so I can hunt ard hee. Maybe u can just look around more. Also check classified ads in straits times. Survey fr at least 1 to 2 weeks to get an idea on market price n call n go down to view n also bargain to see how much lower u cant get it for. Also keep an open mind as u just might see another model which u might like more. Never rush when buying such an exensive item. 2nd hand car dealers n known to b quite sharp to spot a greenhorn n then ty take out their samurai sword n cut yr throat from end to end. I took abt 1 week plus to check around b4 i bought my 2nd and optra n i am pretty experienced. If i got fm e 1st dealer i called, i wud hv paid abt $3-4k more. Look around n dont b lazy. Pisces69 6th Gear January 9, 2011 Share January 9, 2011 Like that sian liao.. thinking of getting spare parts & servicing from M'sia. Since Airwave only can buy from PI, do we get any warranty if buy 2nd hand from car dealer? U can get many 2nd hand cheap parts fm e many scrapyards in SG. Most decent ws in SG can service yr car very cheaply. Find a good ws n u hv solved most of yr problems. I dont recommend ws in msia cos most r very dishonest n wil cheat yr $ especially if u not experienced. Ty look at sporean motorists as all stupid wh too much $ to spend. And i hv to agree wh them sometimes.

Sevenseaters Neutral Newbie January 9, 2011 Share January 9, 2011 Freed is fm Indonesia right? How do u find e fit n finish compared to jap n thai hondas? PI from Japan(year production up to 2008), KM from Indonesia, Thai and Malaysia also from Indonesia(year production 2009 onwards) Nothing much differences. Engine same, only transmission CVT(Japan) vs Auto(Indo) Personally, Freed suits my needs on seats capacity, cabin space, light engine 1500cc, good/moderate fc 12-14km/lt and comfortable (Standard Honda)

Whathefish 5th Gear January 10, 2011 Share January 10, 2011 Personally I am driving airwave for coming to 4years and drove Wish (1.8) for 1week plus when someone kiss my airwave's backside. You must see the purpose of getting a car. To show off ..you can forget about getting them. Wish and Airwave are family car..aging looks does not really matter anyway. For Family of 4 (you, your wife and 2 kids)..Airwave better cheaper in price, rd tax, Ins, to maintain and much better FC. More then enough space. More then 2 kids or will need to ferry additional family members like parents..you can forget about airwave. To be frank I regretted not buying Wish or Stream because I need the space to ferry additional family members once in awhile. Have to remove 2 of the children carseats in order to squeeze 5 adults and 2 kids. In Conclusion, if you plan to use the car for 10 years buy a 7 seater instead because you kids will grow up and you will need the space.

That's what I did 2 months back when I found that my Airwave couldn't serve my needs to ferry more people. Changed to a 2nd hand Stream back then and never regretted my decision. Airwave surprisingly can fetch quite a high body value. Maybe you should seriously consider it.

Pokyman 1st Gear January 14, 2011 Share January 14, 2011 Wish is good. I have 2 child seats ... ughh, super space eaters, and i could fit them in the car and yet carry 4 adults. Drive is damn smooth and the power is great ... mine is the 7spd 1.8L version btw. I think for a compact MPV, a Wish or Stream should suffice.
