Hi, any of you guys experienced the problem of the ABS light turning on sometimes after engine start up and then after a few more trip goes off again after the self check during engine start up?

I am driving an Avante. It has happened to me afew times and wondering what could be the problems? ABS Sensor dirty?

Any bros here experienced the same and had the problem resolved? Care to share your experience?

time to change ur brake pads.

The brake light stays on even before move off... it's like when you turn on you engine there will be an ABS check but it fails the check...

Does that still mean the brake pad is causing the problem? When I last serviced my car the mechanic also told me that there is still quite alot of brake left...

Ok... got the code scanned just now by the Hyundai Service center in JB...

Fella told me that it would be ok once he did a reset on the ECU but after I got back to Singapore the ABS light turned on again...

The error message was: "C1209 - Wheel speed sensor RR-RH Open/Short"

I think that should mean that the problem is more or less isolated to the rear right wheel sensor right? It could either be the wiring around the sensor has short circuited or is damaged already right? And at most I just have to change the sensor right?

Sensor change usually how much ah?

That means the ABS sensor on the rear wheel right side is faulty.

Just buy it fm spare parts shop and replace (labour about $20-$30).

Same thing happened to my Honda.
