1. Use as paper weight. Hate to see the SingTel logo though.

2. Keep it and take it out 20 years later. Maybe till then you can donate to a Technology meuseum (if the gov decides to setup one).

Yup, that's one of them items.

There's a motorola something in there.

Should be Motorola Surfboard modem. Your WRT54G should be either a version 1 or 2. i don't know what you think about that router but it is a very very good router. How many can last 6 years and counting? If you DD WRT or tomato it and swap out the stock gain antennas for high gain ones, it will be formidable.

One bugbear with WRT54G is that the wireless connectivity between your networked devices is quite slow. Bad thing if you do media networking e.g. Apple TV or NAS but if pure internet surfing or BT, it is good enough.

Th WRT54G is a very good router combo, especially if you have the hardware version 2, 2.2 and 4 or the WRT54GL.

Other versions are crappy.

My WRT54G v2 had been running on DD-WRT for close to 7-8 years 24/7 and still running fine, only replaced the power adapter.

How you got them to change 1 for you in the 1st place? Thinking of getting them to change mine as well.

i subscribe to the new fibre broadband thing and comes wtih a new modem, so the old one is hoarded and collected spider web. might as well discard it tonight. anyone wants it for whatever reason, can get it from me.
