Halo111094 Neutral Newbie April 22, 2011 Share April 22, 2011 The fourth generation 2012 Subaru Impreza has arrived, and to paraphrase Huey Lewis, the first thing you might notice is that it's hip to be square... er. Underneath its skin, the new Impreza says a few things that Americans aren't so used to ↡ Advertisement

Proton_neutron 1st Gear April 22, 2011 Share April 22, 2011 The sedan really does look like a baby Legacy! But the hatch? No-no. How to compete with the Koreans if they design cars in such manner?

Alfisti168 1st Gear April 29, 2011 Share April 29, 2011 (edited) Koreans are making more beautiful cars whereas Japanese are making uglier cars? Sad. what makes it even more sad is that the impreza chassis has huge potential. test drove both 1.5 and 2.0 versions, and while the engine and gearbox can be better, the ride quality is brilliantly absorbent yet composed at the same time. And the steering is pretty good. has the right amount of heft and feel to it. So is the noise insulation. Edited April 29, 2011 by Alfisti168

Kiadaw 6th Gear April 29, 2011 Share April 29, 2011 Koreans are making more beautiful cars whereas Japanese are making uglier cars? Sad. I believe Koreans uses (or have) design houses in Europe, which explain the continental look, while most Japanese still style their cars in Japan.
