GEORGE YEO IS NOT INDISPENSABLE!!!

I am really puzzled why the ruling party keep stressing that this chap is indispensable.

You mean our efficient civil service will collapse, our woman will become maids overseas, FDIs will dry up & foreign reserves will kaput come May 7 if Georgie & his team did not win?

We do not owe anyone a living & if he together with his team is being voted out fair & square, then the only gracious thing for the ruling party blokes is to accept defeat & move on. At least we can respect them for that.

Don't tell me the capable A-Team cabinet, the existing ruling party backbenchers or even the newbies cannot even produce one new foreign minister, a new PMO minister or one new parliamentary speaker?

George Yeo, if he is really that capable, can be easily employed by the GIC or TLC companies to continue to serve Singapore. Heck since he is so highly regarded in foreign relations, assign him to be a ambassador to improve our troubled relationships with other states such as Malaysia. We might even reap high returns & have unthinkable benefits if he can be a high commissioner in KL & manage to win them over!

At least he & his team members when defeated could still seek refugee in GIC or TLC companies or civil service. What about opposition party members who lost? Do you think they have such luxuries?

To me all these threats to Aljunied GRC folks is really really regrettable.

The latest coming from an elderly statesman who still think open threats very effective in his era will work wonders in today's context.

To the eligible voters of Aljunied GRC, the fate of our nation is in your hands now. If this chance is lost we may never have the chance to have our voices heard ever again because the ruling party would take it that the people have spoken & they still prefer the lightning team to reign.

Join us residents in PP & your bretherens in HG to show that CHANGE is on the way & it start from us.

Honestly, I wish that the PAP candidate for Aljunied GRC would be either wong kang seng or mbt. George Yeo is one of the ok minister to me. I wish he was contesting in other less popular grc. Too bad, this time he is facing the strongest opp team from WP.

George is one of the 21 members of the cabinet that determines yours & my fate.

PM has perviously mentioned that even though ministers front their respective ministries, any policies from these ministries are a collective decision from the cabinet.

And with that, any mistakes made by any one of them must be the responsibility of his entire cabinet going by that logic.

In that sense, we can say the responsibility on the limping MSK escape can be attributed to Georgie, the multiple 1-in-50 flood that happened quite a few times is MBT's fault or the mass influx of foreign workers is because of Raymond Lim.

And like I said earlier, do you seriously think the MIW government will let Georgie fade into the background?

He may be earning tonnes & contributing tremendously to the state coffers in his new role in GIC or TLC companies.

Or benefiting Singapore much much more as an ambassador.

Having said that, it will be icing on the cake if the ruling party's Aljunied GRC team is helmed by WKS or MBT now...

well this is PAP's own doing.. as some have commented, each GRC is helmed by a ministar and padded with other light weight MPs. when the WP send big guns in, its an all or bust strategy, you think people won't think twice voting george yeo?

if george was in an SMC he may not face a strong oppo. in fact MBT and WKS may face a big gun in an SMC..

so now our democratic system has been perverted to let unknown last minute fillers to be MP, DUDs and kate spades riding on coat-tails, and effectively using just one strong candidate to lead a group of yes-man into parliament.

what they have done has now come back to haunt them.

Aljunied is Singaporeans best hope of getting an alternative voice.... Let's hope PP, HG continue to be helmed by oppositions too.

They themselves came out with such a ridiculous GRC system where the outcome is all or nothing in a GE.

So far they have enjoyed walkovers & thought life will always be good i.e. woon woon jia beehoon!!

Now there is a serious challenge whereby there is this very real possibility that one of their own may be voted out, they have no choice but to come out with guns blazing, plus some silly threats.

Really pathetic.

Frankly it is a uphill battle here in PP but we will do our best.

Thanks for your well wishes.

Hopefully Mr Chiam takes Bishan-TP GRC as well & retire the "apologic" WKS early together with his team.

The system works exactly like a corporate company nowadays where everyone is indispensable. A corporate company can easily hire somebody to replace another person who left or get transferred to another department. This applies the same to politics.

Old man also mentions tat Tampines GRC pappie candidate Heng Swee Keat is potential ministerial material.

He seems to b threatening voters that they may lose 2 so-called "capable" minister MBT or even potential minister Heng Swee Keat should NSP win in Tampines.

Come on, Man! The earth doesn't revolve around these 2 persons MBT and Heng xx. There will always be someone to replace them lah. Such tactics adopted by Old Man and pappies won't work on educated folks, especially the Gen X or Y voters. Baby boomers i dun know. But some old people might b taken for a ride. Such tactics will only work on daft people???

Yah, if i remember correctly, Old Man once commented on S'poreans being daft, right?

For Old Man to resort to this, I believe MBT n team is in deep s--t this time. I hav not attended NSP rally at Tampines yet, so i do not know the feel of the ground over there.

Baey Yam Keng who is transferred from Tanjong Pagar (TP) GRC to Tampines GRC is also a bit "sway". If he remains in TPagar GRC, he would have been a newly elected MP now. Baey may lose his MP status should NSP wins.

I guess the reason why pappie put Chia Shi Lu in Tanjong Pagar GRC n transfer Baey out to Tampines is becoz Baey is an existing MP n it adds credibility to the MBT team. Rather than putting Chia Shi Lu in Tampines who is untested?

My sentiments exactly on Baey.

This goatee fella could have been eng eng ching ching sipping lemon tea with his wifey ( is he married?) after nomination day if he stayed on in old man's ward but now because of this one bugger which backed out last minute has to be parachuted into MBT's territory literally overnight to fight with him.

Coming to this quitter, I think the opposition guys especially NSP have to thank him. He alone creates some much problem for his party that is now still causing heard aches for them.

Not sure if NSP is questioning MBT what is going with this guy or not in their rallies.
