Chan didn't handle the Everitt neighbour episode well and it escalated to a laughing stock circulated at nation level. Appeared in the news for many times, over and over again.

 

Was that one of the reasons he was replaced?

I was a counting agent representing SDP. As an ordinary Singaporean taking ownership over the electoral process, i signed up as a polling and counting agent in order to inspect the process.

 

It was disappointing to find out that everything i had ever heard was true.

 

Many of the spoilt votes were decided by the ARO as a PAP vote. The PAP agents persistently sought to influence the ARO by reminding her how to make decisions, such as pointing to the big crosses as PAP votes even though the voter had fully intended to spoil the vote.

 

I lodged a written complaint to the elections dept and the full letter is available to be submitted to Maruah.

 

I would be grateful for this complaint to be highlighted to the appropriate organisations such as ANFREL etc.
