I was told that Honda Hybrid cannot reach 100% battery full charge. only 80%

Is this the same for Prius +?

I yet to see Prius + charge to full as i'm slow and electric motor always kick in

Honda hybrid can reach 100% charge, it's when going downhill in genting. I guess Honda purposely set it this way to preserve hybrid battery life.

See you can share some of your observations of the wagon:

1.   After almost an hour of peak hours driving home from Jurong, I gone to check on a dirt patch on the bonnet and got a shock.  The bonnet was icy cold!

I also got the full charge at 10 bars observation coming down Genting and thereafter, quickly switched over to B mode.

 

Yes, it's also part of HSD's fuzzy logic to ensure hybrid and the 12-V battery are never fully charge and if happened (like the above example), an immediate mean to drain off the excess charge to protect batteries.  This is a known and acceptable knowledge.
