I think the price of rice dumpling in Singapore is simply rediculous and they are not very nice...Anyone have try out any good rice dumpling in our neighbouring land? Probably within 150km from Causeway...Anything further will be too far...

There's this dumpling shop after Katong laksa, you should try. Very nice and authentic.

the only acceptable ones i tried are from joo chiat kim choo bak chang, personally, not too bad, off season price is okay, i don't buy or eat during the festival.

the dumplings up north also not bad, price also reasonable.

I don't trust Msia quality. U never know what they put inside..... Instead of pork, they may mix with other inedible meat and stuff........

Penny wise, pound foolish

How much can TS save only from buying from Msia?

The most is S$1 per pc. If he buy 20 pcs, it's only S$20. And will someone go to Msia and save this kind of money, with doubtful food quality?

You can consider it as a type of protest against the high prices over here.

I do the same thing, in my estate (far north east), it's more expensive to buy food. Even after factoring in petrol, it may cost the same if I were to buy elsewhere, but I rather spend the extra $$$ to support the cheaper hawker than one that charges high, especially the likes of KF, KT ...

Nancy's kitchen. But the prices are as good as Singapore's. RM4 each when I went there 2 year back. Supposedly the nyonya dumpling's blue colouring is extracted from the flower, and not from some bottled food dye.
